Transformers:Revenge Of The Fallen Review

Transformers:Revenge Of The Fallen was released into theaters on June 24th.The film stars Shia LeBeouf and Megan Fox.The film is rated PG-13 and contains profanity,sensual scenes,adult humor,and drug references.

Transformers:Revenge Of The Fallen was a good film,but it did have its flaws:

1.The action sequences were dragged out much longer than they needed to be. The last action sequence in Egypt was the main culprit. Also, with long action sequences came the long length of the film:147 Minutes.

2.The film seemed to be desperate for laughs in certain scenes and too funny in others. For a film like Transformers, you need a good balance of humor and seriousness.

3.The film also had too much adult humor for my taste. The original Transformers film had minor bits of adult humor, but this film was full of it. I'm not saying the film should be a kid's movie. I'm just saying that it should not be a film that could be rated R if you added a couple more scenes.

While the film had its flaws, I still think that it was a relatively good movie. The producers spared no expense on the impressive CGI work for the Autobots and the Decepticons.(The budget was $200 Million.)

I give this film a 6/10.

Amelia Trailer

I just recently came across this trailer for a new biopic about famous female pilot Amelia Earhart.The film stars Hilary Swank,Richard Gere,and Ewan McGregor.



From watching the trailer,I can see that this will be a great movie.I am usually not disappointed with a biopic.

Star Wars:The Clone Wars Review

Star Wars:The Clone Wars was a film in the Star Wars series of films.The film was released on August 16,2008.

With a weak plot,a lousy screenplay,and horrible music,Star Wars:The Clone Wars is he worst thing to ever happen to Star Wars.I would go so far to say that this film is worse than the infamous Star Wars Christmas Special.

As I said earlier,the film had a weak plot.There was one main plot,but barely any sub-plots.That makes a horrible film.You need quite a few sub-plots to keep a film going.The film was also filled with way too many action sequences.Action sequences are fine in a small dose,however,they should not make up the entire film.

The music for this film had an OK score.But,that's just it.It should never be OK for a film scored by John Williams.John Williams is a musical genius and should not be overtopped by lousy music sequences filled with music of the "rock and roll" genre.Every time that a character would go into battle,the film would have a moment with music that was not fit to be in a film that is based on characters from the Star Wars universe.

However,there was an upside to the film.The animation was well done.With fluid movements and good use of texture,light,and color.

The Mummy:Tomb of the Dragon Emperor Review

The Mummy:Tomb of the Dragon Emperor is the third installment in The Mummy film franchise.It was released in theaters on August 1,2008.

The Mummy:Tomb of the Dragon Emperor was another cinematic adventure into the life of adventurers Rick and Evelyn O'Connell.While they are retired from their adventuring days,they are asked on another mission to bring a rare artifact to Shanghai.While they are delivering the artifact,an ancient mummy awakens causing confusion and wreaking havoc.Can the O'Connell family and their crew save China from a terrible fate? Go see The Mummy:Tomb of the Dragon Emperor to find out.

The film was an overall good film,however,there were a few things that I happened to dislike about the film.First off,the film's plot was extremely cliche' and could have been more original for a big blockbuster film series like The Mummy.

Second,the special effects.There were too many of them.The CGI was overused,and some of the scenes that could be made for real were replaced by CGI.

However,as I stated earlier,it is a good film that that is worth going to see on the big screen.I give this film:
